If you ask " Why Am I responsible for low media attention?" My answer is each and every Legal Skilled Immigrant is responsible for this. We are a tribe who do not believe in shouting on the roads. We think this is cheap!
Trust me, this is not being done in any cheap manner. It is not cheap to ask what you deserve. It is not cheap to express one's opinion in a diginified manner not offending anyone. It is not cheap to explain your problems to your lawmaker.
If you think that participating in this rally is cheap and only uneducated would shout on the roads, then come to DC to witness PhDs, MBAs, PMPs, CPAs, Attorneys and some of the brightest and the best minds shout at the top of their voice to fix the broken immigration system.
Sounds unbelievable, come, witness it for yourself on Sept 18th at Washington Monument.

I want to be more specific. I have a full time job. I'd like to setup a business LLC to get some contract works. For tax benefit, I can deduct some business cost with it.

Hi People,
I getting even more confused:mad:
My status - AOS, H1B expired, staying on EAD.
Ap is valid until the middle of November 2008.
I have to travel abroad end re-enter more than 2 times from now to the AP expiry date
..
USCIS sent me 2 exact copies of AP - is that mean that only one stamp per each re-entry implying that I may travel out of country only twice until AP exparation end re-enter twice only???
Or there allowed more than one stamp on AP paper - using one AP per multiple entries??

When it is three copies (Nebraska has been giving three), on first travel, one copy goes to airlines, the 2nd copy goes to POE and 3rd copy remains with AP holder (the 3rd copy must be stamped at POE). On subsequent travels give a photocopy (of 3rd) to airlines, ask POE to make a copy (of 3rd) for themselves and keep 3rd (after getting subsequents stamp).

Hello All,
I heard from my employer that many people who are visiting India for H1B Stamping are getting stuck with 221G query. My company lawyers have suggested us to cancel or postpone all the travel plans to India.
Did any of you have any recent stamping experience at Mumbai Consulate? I would appreciate if you can share it on this forum.

My I-94 is expiring in a month. I have used Advance parole to enter US after a vacation about a year back. How do I renew my I-94 card? Does anybody know...
I had the same issue when I travelled last year. My lawyer said we do not have to renew since AOS pending essentially allows you to stay till adjudication of the case is complete. He did however ask me to renew the EAD and AP.
Just to clarify I have not used my EAD. Still on H1B.

USCIS Announces Revised Processing Procedures for
Adjustment of Status Applications
WASHINGTON�U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that, beginning immediately, it will accept employment-based applications to adjust status (Form I-485) filed by aliens whose priority dates are current under the July Visa Bulletin, No. 107. USCIS will accept applications filed not later than August 17, 2007.
On July 2, 2007, USCIS announced that it would not accept any additional employment-based applications to adjust status. USCIS made that announcement after receiving an update from the Department of State that it would not authorize any additional employment-based visa numbers for this fiscal year. After consulting with USCIS, the Department of State has advised that Bulletin #107 (dated June 12) should be relied upon as the current July Visa Bulletin for purposes of determining employment visa number availability, and that Visa Bulletin #108 (dated July 2) has been withdrawn.
�The public reaction to the July 2 announcement made it clear that the federal government�s management of this process needs further review,� said Emilio Gonzalez, USCIS Director. �I am committed to working with Congress and the State Department to implement a more efficient system in line with public expectations.�

When I said it just doesn't compare I meant even for the most basic things it sucks more cpu than even flash 8. I give it 3 more years and it will be MS's main form of media for all its partner sites.

You would receive the 1099-INT form only if your interest income is above 10 $ . If it is less than that you won't get it . That's why probably you did not receive it if you had negligible interest.

Sorry to read that! Definitely file a lawsuit to ask not only for 30k, but also for financial hardship resulting from the outcome.
Regarding reentry, there should not be any problem for your Mom as the bills were addressed to you (so her name should not be on defaulter list).
There is insurance (Visitor Health Insurance, Pre-existing condition coverage, AIU (http://www..us) - which covers pre-existing conditions) and their rates are competitive. But I've never had to file a claim, so don't know if they would be different...
